I have been hearing a very high pitched squeaking from my front driver's side wheel area any time I steer towards the left (even slighty). It sounds like really bad brakes but it is not the brakes. It never happens when I am braking, just when I'm driving and steering towards the left.

sounds like either the backing plate is rubbing against the rotor or the brake sensor is hitting the rotor.

There is some movement going on in there.Put some anti-squeel compound on the back side of your brake pads.It is kind of a glue that holds the pads away from the rotor. But examine it ALL for places that have been rubbing together, while you are in there.
