1997 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I just replaced the starter in our 1997 Cevy Cavalier. After that, I noticed the dash lights acting funny ( flikering on and off). Now the speedometer and the rpm gauge are not working. What did I do wrong?

At the starter solenoid there's a gray fusible link with a red wire did you hook this back up and where, that wire could be loose or the link is blown it goes back to the alternator that could be causing the flicking check it out and let me know
