1997 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Automatic 15000 miles

my car is overheating, when putting in coolant in the plastic cojntainer that holds it, it sucks it out and then its empty within hours, there is no leak & my fans dont seem to come on & now my heat is not working and my a/c hasnt worked in months even after getting it serviced. What do we do?

Hi:
If the heater is not working, it sounds like it is caused by low coolant. Fill the coolant until it doesn't hold anymore. Also, is there any evidence of a coolant leak? Finally, check the engine oil to make sure the coolant isn't getting into the engine. Let me know what you find.

Hi:
Normal operating temp is right around 195 degrees, so that sounds normal. As far as the smell, there has to be a leak somewhere. Is it still using / loosing the coolant?
