1997 Chevy Cavalier belt

I would like to know were is the belt tension for the alternator.

There is a black engine mount on the right side of the car by the coolant overflow tank. There is a hole you will see in the middle, the tension pully is under that sort of near the middle of the engine block. Take the appropriate socket or open end (whichever you prefer) put it on the bolt in the middle of the pully and pull towards the front of the car. This should relieve the belt tension.
