I have a 1996 Cavalier that runs like a top, but the radiator fan comes on when I first crank the car and stays on for approximately 15 seconds and then quits running. I have jumped the fan directly from the battery and the fan runs perfectly. I thought it was the relay so I replaced it and the problem still exists. It will run for about 15 seconds and then it will quit. Is there more than 1 relay? Is there a sensor somewhere that I have been unable to find that could be malfunctioning? Any help wouild certainly be appreciated! Thanks a million

I replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor and the fan does the same thing, i.E. Runs for about 15 seconds and quits. Fan runs fine directly connected to the battery. I have replaced the relay and still does the same thing--runs about 15 seconds and quits. Any other help would be appreciated. Thanks a trillion(more use to this word than a million!
