Sounds like a grinding noise the car passed emissions test and made it It sounds like transmission but it's coming underneath the car It only lasts for a 30 seconds than it stops checked the fluid it was fine.

What could this be. I read somewhere else that the cavalier does this locking brake action and I had that happen to me the car is babied and not driven very much just a few miles a week the most 10 miles a week or less.

I hardly drive her why all these problems?

I would appreciate on an answer that could tell me what to do. It's like a vibration noise as if the catalytic converter is going bad I take my foot off of the accelerator and it stops This started a few day ago.

Could be a loose shield, bad motor mount, loose bolt etc.

You will have to raise car, put on stands and do a thourough inspection of the underside.

When you put it in gear, look for excessive engine movement, which would indicate a motor mount problem.
