Hello, my husband has a 1995 4.3L V8 Chevy Caprice. The heater takes FOREVER to warm up. He replaced the thermostat, but no change. When it does fianlly get somewhat warm, cool air starts to mix in and blow in when the car is idling. Any help? Thanks!

Welcome to the 2CarPros Forum, The climate control system has a plastic door separating the heater core from the A/C evaporator. The door is controlled by an electric motor, located on top of the black plastic housing behind the glove box. Your symptoms indicate a possible malfunction of this door. Some causes are, inoperable motor, foreign object, such as a pen hindering the door or the signal from the blend door switch missing.Try turning the knob from cold to hot while listening for the doors action.

I hope this information is helpful, let me know if I can be of further assistance.
