I have a 1990 Chevy Caprice Classic and I have recently just put all 4 new shocks and springs on my car, but sometimes when i'm going at about 35mph and I go into a dip my tires scrape my car. The shocks I purchased for the car are from auto zone and they were the cheapest ones.($15.99 apiece). If I purchased a stronger brand of shocks would this stop my problem? The springs I purchased were pretty strong and nice and thick, so I don't think this could be the problem.

Is the rubbing in the front or back? If in the front it is possible your tires are just to big or the springs were not hefty enough, if in the rear, adjustable air shocks. The ones that you must manually fill from a compressor are not that expensive. Lastly have a good mechanic take a look at your alignment.
