When the computer points out a problem with a particular system, it's not saying that a part is bad. It's only pointing you to that system so you can do an accurate diagnosis and isolate the part that is bad.
Your's could be the connector, wiring, or even the computer itself. If you're handy with a DVOM, I'll walk you through the steps to pinpoint what's wrong. In the mean time, you shouldn't just replace parts. That'll only cost you time and money.
