Actually, you are doing really well with MPG. Regardless, if you live in an area that is mostly flat, I would recommend changing the differential gear ratio if something is available. If you live in an area there are a lot of hills, I would leave it alone. It may struggle with the hills. Also, keep in mind, if the engine has to work harder to accellerate and maintain highway speed, the fuel mileage will drop. Perfect example, I have a Dakota with the V6. My father has the same truck with the same axle ratio but with the V8. He gets about 5 miles to a gallon better than me because the engine has more power and doesn't need to work as hard.
