2003 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

car keeps blowing oil filter gasket i have made sure the old gasket is still not on the surface before putting on new gasket

Unknown by most, there is a pressure release valve built into the oil pump. The filter gasket is designed to maintain up to aprox 150 PSI. If that is exceeded, it will blow out the gasket or I have even seen filters expand.

Check the pressure before the gasket goes. It shouldn't be higher than 80PSI max. If it is, chances are the pressure bypass is bad.
