My chevy s-10 blazer has had a couple of misfires lately and it happens at weird times. The first time I noticed it was when I was passing someone and my rpm's were up around 4500. I understood that one, but the most recent one was when the rpm's were around 2500 and I was going about 75 and then the rpm's dropped. The mechanic I took it to before said that he was going to try and find out why it was doing this, but didn't since the codes didn't show up on his computer. That was because I erased them. Any help would be appreciated.

Try rescanning the computer again might be something in there that can be useful for a starting point

Misfiring can be caused by the following:

1. Defective spark plug
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
