1992 Chevy Blazer throttle positioning sensor

When replacing a throttle position sensor do u have to reset the computer to recognize the new one and if so how do u do this

Need to make sure TPS is adjusted properly. You will need a digital voltmeter. Back probe the sensor to find a voltage reading that's around 1.0 volts. Adjust the sensor to achieve 0.7-0.8 volts at idle. Disconnecting battery for 10 - 15 minutes will reset the computer.
