Front Hub Bearing Replacement

Does the axle grease seal in the steering knuckle need to be replaced when replacing the front hub bearing assembly on my AWD Astro? The manual on Mitchell1 doesn't really make this clear and it looks like a lot more work to get in to replace the seal.

It is not required to be replaced unless you have an issue with it.
However sometimes it is a good idea to do so as you have components already apart.
