1997 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 93k miles

we have had a lot of suggestions and have tried all of them with ignition on and I touch an earth lead from bettry to mounting or housing of wiper motor I am gettin sparks help?

If you are running a ground to the side of the motor and getting sparks, then you have a bad ground to the motor. Run a new ground and see if that helps.

Have you already replaced the wiper motor? And if not, remove it and use some pliers to see if you can move the spinning mechanism it should move if not you might want to try replacing it with a used one first. The wiper motors in these astro vans do some funny things. It sounds like it is froze up (no Good). Hope it helps. Good Luck.
