1997 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I drive this vehicle prox 450 - 500 miles per week. I was getting around 17.5 mpg but wanted to try for better gas mileage. I have recently added 2 water for gas fuel cells and an enhancer connected directly to my MAF sensor to try for a prox 40% increase in my fuel economy. The only thing that has happened is my service engine light comes on and my gas mileage had dropped by 10-20%. Will my MAF ever recognize the system and start improving my mileage without hurting my engine or other systems in the van. Also, what is your intake on water for gas fuel cells?

Sorry but 99% of those "extra mileage devices" are a scam. As you have discovered they usually don't work.
The MAF is recognizing your system. It is also telling you that it is not working.
If you actually look at the real world physics and do the work you will find that the entire water for fuel thing is a money making scam. Sorry but that's the facts.
Think about all the claims you hear for these great mileage boosting items. If they are so good why don't the auto makers install them from the factory? And why is no large known company ever involved with the testing or development.

Also the P1870 indicates that your transmission is slipping. Sounds like your in for a trans rebuild soon.
