I just purchased this car and I noticed that it isn't equipt with cruise control. I'm wondering if there are any options to retrofit this onto my car? I also have a steering wheel from the same model that did have CC. Can this part be swapped?

Looking at the parts it seems you need the switches and the ECM and BCM needs to have the programming code for it entered to activate the option. The catch there is that some codes can be added by a dealer while some are only added by the factory. That part they don't have in the service information. You would be better off calling a couple dealers and seeing if they can enter the codes to make it work, or if it's a factory only item.

There are aftermarket options. I attached a picture of the first one I found. I have not used this kit so I am not recommending it but just showing they are out there.

I have put these in in the past and they are not complicated but do require you to wire them in so I would look for one that has connectors as this one does and does not require you to cut wires. Cutting wires and soldering them in is not a big deal but just complicates things if you want to take it out. So it is nice if the kit has connectors so all you have to do is remove it and reconnect the OEM connectors.

I would not recommend trying to add the OEM system because it is usually much more expensive if even possible.

Let me know if you have questions.
