Check engine light on and code P0027

Hello,

Depending on which ECM you have fitted
P0027 -- ECM-6140 -- Camshaft control exhaust -- Slow
P0027 -- ECM-614B -- Camshaft control exhaust -- Faulty

It relates to the Oil Control Valve, OCV, for the exhaust side VVT pulley.
They usually get clogged up especially if the engine oil has not been replaced in a while.
They can possibly be cleaned with a carburetor cleaner or brake cleaner. When removing the OCV always fit new gaskets

Location can be seen in the picture below, underneath the engine cover just behind the camshaft pulleys

A new OCV with fitting kit is in the second picture. They are available on Amazon and Auto part shops.
