I would like to know the cost estimate of Repairing a Transmission Accumulator for a 2004 Dodge Neon. My car transmission sometimes thumps when I put it from Park to Drive and when I put it in Reverse, I get hesitation before it will move in reverse.

Did someone diagnose it as a accumulator because I just went thru the trouble tree for that code and didnt see that as diagnoses for that code.

The code came from Autozone's engine check service. I also looked it up after finding this website, and see that it is related to the gear shift

Thats a slip in first gear it can be related to the selector switch it says to first use the scan to make sure the selector switch is registering the correct gears. If not you use the trouble tree for P0706 for the selector switch. You cant just read a code and heres what you replace. Some codes are like that but not many most need to be diagnosed following a trouble tree.
