Hi,
First, see if it starts in neutral. If it doesn't, I need you to check three fuses. I highlighted them in pic 1 and pics 2 and 3 show the locations in the box.
If the fuses are good, next confirm there is power to them and from them. Here is a link you may find helpful:

If the fuses are good and there is power to and from them, I need you to check for power to the purple wire on the starter. That is the trigger wire. It will only have 12v when the key is in the start position, so you will need a helper.
If there is no power, let me know. If there is power, replace the starter.
Pic 2 below is of the under the hood fuse box. I highlighted the two fuses I need checked. Pic 3 is the fuse box under the dash on the driver's side. I highlighted it as well.
Do this and let me know what you find. If you had the battery connected when recharging, there is a chance it blew a fuse. Hopefully, it will be that easy.
