Changing transmission fluid procedure needed?

Changed many BMWs' ATF before just wanted to see if there is any procedure that is different on this one as well as what type of fluid to use and capacity for a drain and fill. Also, if you can find the temperature to check the level.

Sure, here are the specs and how to add or check the fluid level:

Total capacity, transmission and torque converter drained. Approx. 8.5 liters

Shell M-L12108 (20.0 liters). 83 22 2 152 426
ATF-3 (1.0 liter). 83 22 2 305 397

Warning! Never mix any other oil with this transmission fluid when doing repairs or topping up. Use of any other oil will cause a non-warrantable transmission failure.

Refer to the transmission identification plate or the label attached to the transmission oil pan to determine transmission application.

There is a fluid plug on the driver's side of the transmission that is where you add fluid, and it is the level indicator as well. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.

Can you find out for me if this vehicle is equipped with a 6 or 8 speed transmission based on the VIN? This vehicle listed above has an S63 V8 motor. 5YMGZ0C55DLL29882
Can you see if it will pull up? I am trying to order an ATF kit, but I keep seeing conflicting reports on which this one is.

The instructions above shows that it is for a 35i which is the 6 cylinder, I have the v8.
