Hi,

This vehicle requires a scan tool that can actuate the transmission oil pump. It isn't a traditional transmission service.

Regardless, I attached the directions below for the service. Take a look through it and let me know if you have questions or if I can help.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

I am so sorry. Ugh! As far as the automatic, I have the steps if it is a hybrid vehicle. See pic 1. If it is an 8-speed automatic non-hybrid, they don't supply directions because the transmission fluid is supposed to be lifetime. See pic 2.

As far as a lifetime ATF, like anything else it gets dirty. The idea it will never need to be changed is a bit hard to believe. I have an Audi that says the same. At 100K, it looked like mud when I drained it to replace the filter and fluid.

On the other hand, if you have a hybrid, let me know that and I can get it for you.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe

The first thing I suggest is to determine if there is a kit available for the trans. For example, are you able to get a filter and gasket? If it is, from that point I would feel the mechanical portion of the service would be straight forward.

I did a quick check and see filter kits, but they indicate an X drive. There should be one for a 2wd vehicle as well.

Let me know.

Take care,

joe

Hi,

Yep, that's what you need and evidence that it can be done. LOL That actually looks like a really good kit. I like the idea that they provide even the pump and pan bolts. It's a bit expensive, but based on what I read, it is correct.

Just remember when you top it off, I believe the transmission should be between 35C and 45C. If you get it to 100 degrees F, you should be fine.

Regardless, let me know how things turn out for you or if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe
