Is there any type of programming that has to be done when you change out the cluster? Can i pick up one from the junk yard and put it straight in or do I have to get a new one and reprogram it? I have heard both stories and would like to get an answer.

you can get one from a junkyard, but it will still need to be programmed to your vehicle as they are VIN number specific.
