I have a p0420 code bank1 which I assume it the (OS-1) the exhaust manifold is welded with a primary catalytic converter and a secondary under the car both temperature is different which I think is okay but both temperature is lower at the end of the catalytic then the front. I read between 700 to 600 up go down its between 400 to 300

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

The temperatures you listed do not sound out of the ordinary. If the P0420 is the only code, chances are the catalytic converter is bad. If there was an issue with an O2 sensor or the air fuel sensor, an additional code would be set.

Check to make sure there are no exhaust leaks, which can lead to this code.

Let me know if there are any other codes.

Joe
