Cars shuts off when you take foot of gas pedal

I did the head gasket. Car runs but when ever i take foot off gas it shuts off and has a chug in it when driving. Please any help will do. I need my car for kids.

There are many things that can cause a vehicle to stall at idle (foot of throttle). For example, a faulty idle air control valve, engine vacuum leak, and so on.

When the vehicle is being used, are you able to keep the engine running by feathering the throttle when stopped? Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running? Have you checked for vacuum leaks? I ask because since there was a lot of work just done, a vacuum hose could be off causing an idle related issue.
