Have the car inspected at a tire and alignment shop. There can be worn parts, misalignment, worn tires, etc. The people there will inspect the steering and suspension systems and "read" the tire wear patterns. Correct ride height is important too to keep the suspension parts in the right geometry. If the springs have sagged or ride height has been altered, the wrong geometry will prevent the wheels from holding the tires properly on the road surface as the car goes up and down over bumps in the road and when cornering.
