New starter, battery good, lights come on. Turn it over with a srewdriver and starter it and try to shorted it out with wires to a switch and it would turn over weak and wouldn't start so I don't know what to do now?

Could you please straighten out that description? Which lights turn on? Your last huge sentence doesn't make sense. Please list the engine size.

My dash lights come on when I turn the key but when I try to starter it with the key it doesn't turn over I get nothing. I starter with a srewdriver and it worked fine but shut it off and still couldn't start it with the key. So I wired a switch to the starter be the turnING over is very weak and won't start and charge my battery and even got a new one didn't help. The engine is 307.

Hey Jroc. I'm so sorry for ignoring your reply. Did you figure out the problem yet? If not, do you have a voltmeter and know how to use it? Or do you have a test light?

Start by testing the battery's voltage. If it's 12.6 volts, it's good and fully-charged. If it's around 12.2 volts, it's okay but badly discharged. Charge it at a slow rate for a couple of hours, then check it again.
