Car will only start with key in ignition

I am wondering why my car will only start if I put the actual key in the ignition instead of having the ignition cover on and the key fob in my pocket? The key fob works for everything else, I.E. Unlock/lock doors, windows roll down from outside of the car.

Hi Yaya,

It sounds like you may have a problem with the body area network controller, have you check the fuses which would be in the drivers under dash fuse panel?
