The car is fine to start and runs fine when cold. But after running for a while, and then say after I make a grocery stop, when I come back it starts and then stops in a few seconds. After several attempts it will work again.

What could be causing this?

It sounds like an engine coolant temperature sensor can be slightly out of range causing the hard starting.

Is the check engine light on? We should run the codes to see what comes up.

Here is a guide to help us get started:

Please let us know what happens so it will help others.

Cheers, Ken
