I have the SUV listed above Eddie Bauer Edition. My car shuts down/stalls when I hit a bump while driving or when I have it put in idle and it will run until I shut my door hard. My car gives me no warning it just shuts down it starts back up no problems. The problem started three days ago when I drove up to the gas station a mile from home pulled in and the car shut shut down. I'm completely lost only thing we think is is an electrical problem and something is probably loose, but have no clue where to start and what to look at. Please help as auto shops want $100.00+ to try and find the problem.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

If you are driving on a smooth road, does it stall or does it require a bump to cause it to stall? Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running?

And yes, it does sound like an electrical issue. However, there are so many different electrical components that can cause it to stall, it is going to be hard to find if there are no diagnostic trouble codes stored. That's why I asked about the check engine light.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
