I want to know what is the thing in the photo is called. There is a red arrow indicating which part it is, it's right next to the engine oil tank. Somehow it broke off. What 's the purpose of it? Thanks!

Hello, I'm Danny.

That is a ground wire. It is used to help ground the body and engine together to help with the vehicles electronics and computer systems. If you wanted to save money as opposed to buying a new one from the Toyota dealer you can repair that by crimping a new eyelet connector from your local hardware, home improvement, or auto parts store. Simply crimp the new eyelet on and use heat shrink tubing to seal and that will work. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
