Just to add. There are a couple things that we should check as you may be correct that the no heat is related but that may be a separate issue with the blend door.
Let's start with checking the inlet and outlet heater core hoses. I attached below the documents that show where these are. Just start the engine and let it get hot but not to the point of overheating. Then turn the heat on full and the heater core hoses should be about the same temp and hot to the touch.
If they are not hot then you most likely have an air pocket that could be cause both issues.
At this point you will want to follow the process that I also attached below on how to drain and fill the cooling system. If this is what you are doing and still getting air in the system then try jacking up the corner of the vehicle that is closest to the coolant cap and this try to allow the air out of the system as the air will work its way to the highest point.
