You need a live person to look and listen for the cause. I have had tree branches stuck underneath and dragging on the ground, a rusted fuel line bracket rubbing on the vibration damper, and a miss-positioned plastic splash shield rubbing on a power steering pump pulley on my vehicles. There are other causes too. You can get clues by observing if the vehicle has to be moving, if the noise is affected by turning the steering wheel, applying the brakes, or increasing engine speed.
