I tried to turn my car on this morning and it did not want to start. Then I turned it on again and it started but quickly shut off. So I waited a few more minutes and tried again and it turned on and stayed on this time. So I left it running for a bit and now it is working fine as if nothing happened. By any chance do you know what this could be? It is not the first time this has happened either.

If the check engine light has come on, have the computer scanned. Also, pay attention to the security light. If it does it again, you may want to consider checking fuel pump pressure. Here is a video that will guide you:

You will need to locate the schrader valves. I attached a picture of their locations.

Thanks I appreciate it. Here is a quick video of what it was doing. But, now it will not even turn on like that anymore. I was thinking automatically the fuel pump but I have had that problem not to long ago I had to replace the whole fuel pump. Only thing is when I had that problem my car would not turn on at all at all not even crank, It was as if my car was completely dead. So now I am thinking maybe the fuel filter? Could that be possible?

It starts and shuts off. Have you checked the fuel pump relay? Here is a video. Watch it because it is a pain to get to them. They are under the dash. By the way, has the check engine light come on? You can get an AUDI/VW scanner online for under forty dollars. They are very helpful. I have an A4 and A8. Without the scanner, I would be pulling my computer out all the time. If you do have a scanner, check to see if there are any trouble codes.

Let me know what you find. Note: I just fixed a Nissan Titan (not and Audi, but the exact same problem). It was the ignition relay which also controls the fuel pump. Just food for thought.

Okay so I took it to some shop here where I live and they’re telling me I blew my head gasket? Could that be possible. I never drove my car to where it was over heating my car wouldn’t even over heat at that. Like I said I got home parked my car ( it was driving normal that whole day before I parked it) and tried to start it the next morning and it would no longer start. I’m really confused here and need other opinions cause I have so many people telling me other wise I’m kinda in a sticky situation here what would you say?

When the engine does start do you see white smoke out the exhaust pipe? Can you lift the hood and let me see the engine run before it stalls?

Cheers, Ken
