Cold start car jerks when accelerating

In the past two to three months, during cold start it jerks when accelerating only for the first five to ten minutes and then it’s smooth driving after that. However, when I warm the car up before driving for five minutes or so it’s fine. I never really had to warm it up for this long even during the cold winter months. No engine light warning has come on. Any idea what it could be? I know nothing about cars but I want to have an idea what kind of repairs it may need and to prepare for the cost.

It sounds like the car is misfiring which will store misfire data to help us see which cylinders is giving us trouble. Even though the check engine light is not on it can still have codes lets run down this guide and get back to me.
