When you start off it is smooth. Once it levels out at 35 or 45 it starts jerking really hard ! Even hear clanking almost. This the only time it does it. My brother in law keeps asking if I changed fluid in trans. I did about 2 yrs ago, does it need to be again. Are do I need torque converter drained also?

2 years is about time for another fluid change and if the fluid condition is still god, you need not drain the torque converter. On the other hand, the problem could be engine related rather than transmission so it is best to have it diagnosed correctly.

If it were engine problem I'd think eng light would come on ! This engine runs perfect until you cruise at 40 to 45 then it has a little jerk ! Just started doing this about 1 or 2 mos ago. 10 yrs old and 133000 miles.
Thanks for your answer KHLow2008, need all the help I can get !

Does not necessarily mean the MIL will indicate if there are any engine faults. Some codes do not trigger the MIL.

Costing should be checked locally as they vary according to location.
