My car got shut down with a burning smell. When I checked,
the radiator pump got damaged and there is no coolant. I have planned to replace the radiator.
Should I replace the head gasket also?
Please advise.

The head gasket is not something you want to do unless you know for sure that it is blown. Not only is it a lot of work but it could cause other issues if something is missed. So if it is not needed, I would not do it as a precaution.

Let's test the head gasket with this guide:

If the engine cannot warm up right now safely then we can do a compression test and if it passes, I would not do the head gasket and proceed with the repair to get it running and then do the head gasket test as shown above.

Here is a guide on a a compression test:

Let me know what questions you have. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Will try to proceed with the repair without doing anything on the head gasket and will do the above testing and let you know.
