What you described is commonly caused by a plugged pickup screen inside the fuel tank. This applies to any car with the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail on the engine, and a return line to the tank. The typical symptom is the engine runs fine at highway speeds, but stalling occurs when the largest volume of fuel is being pumped, ... Which is during coasting.
