Problem started when Power steering pump went bad, I did not have to money to replace the psp so I purchased a smaller belt to bypass using power steering for now until I can flush fluid and purchase new pump. I put the smaller size belt on and the car started and appeared to work and drive fine until major power loss resulting in car dieing down due to low voltage. So I replaced the altenator and battery. Installed them, and still has the issue.

Q1-is it okay to run the vehicle on a smaller belt for bypassing psp?

Q2-would that be the cause of power loss?

Ps. I checked all connections from alt, starter, batter, fuse box and all tight with now corrosion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The system is designed to have the power steering pump operating and it can hurt the rack and pinion not having it working properly, as far as the power loose can you check all of the fuses and the charging system. Here is a more info on checking the the charging system.

Thanks for the response ken, and I have figured the problem out, with bypassing the power steering pump, the altenator was not spinning in the right direction therefore not oporating. I replace the power steering pump along with new altenator and problem solved! Thanks for help.
