I was driving down the street and suddenly my car car shut down and the dash was flickering on and off.
could that be a computer problem?

Sounds more like maybe an ignition switch, these are mostly an intermittent failure. Did the vehicle restart o.K?

Yes, it started fine. Is the ignition switch simple to replace? Is hard to get to?
