Engine Cooling problem
2002 Cadillac SLS V8 Automatic 118000 miles

My check coolant level indicator came on and I refilled the resevoir last night. This morning I go about 5 miles and it came on again. When I got home and popped the hood it was smoking quite a bit. What could be wrong? When I'm driving, it smells like I'm burning syrup under the hood.

Get a cooling system pressure test, could be as simple as a leaky hose, or as complex as a blown head gasket...

Could the smell be from the coolant burning under the hood?
