2001 Cadillac Deville rough idling

the car runs great when it' s going....when i am idling the engine feels like it is wanting to cut off...it hardly ever cuts out but has once or twice before. I recently had the air filter replaced with an oil change...could it be that it needs a timing belt or a tune up?

is the check engine lite on? you dont have a t-belt, plugs at 100k miles. fuel filter yes every 12k miles
