I just put new thermostat in car still is runnin at 260degree. Still no heat . Just cool air blows out the defrost. Stop engine lite came on. . Ps. I put long end into engine

Could be airlock try bleeding it don't work check the radiator if its clogged and water pump doing its job circulating coolant, If it continous get it block and pressure tested.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
