My car over heated and sprayed coolant everywhere. The coolant didn't come from the hose to my radator, it came from a hose that's directly beside the cap of the reservoir. The hose is still attached but it's hanging now and I don't know where it goes so I have/had coolant pouring on the ground.[img:d1e8d18bd6]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/398261_DSC04833_1.jpg[/img:d1e8d18bd6]

If it is the convoluted tube you are holding, that is just an overflow that expells the coolant out. It is just what you see, a vent to atmosphere. You have an issue that is causing your car to overheat, it could be cooling fans, thermostat, or internal leakage.
