I have a 1999 Cadillac Sedan Deville Concours, and the radiator is leaking very slow drips. Sometimes several drips per second, and sometimes a day or two goes with no drip?(BTW this just started 9 days ago) Can I use Bars Radiator Stop leak without causing damage to my NorthStar engine, or should I replace the radiator? And if I replace the radiator, is that something an average Joe like myself can do with common sense, or should I let a skilled mechanic operate on my Caddy?

Hi there,

you should be able to do the radiator R&R your self, but get a radiator shop to check that the radiator first as it may be repairable, I would replace the thermostat as well, if in doubt get mechanic to do it or DIY with a work shop manual as a guide.
