More than likely, at least the cam covers are leaking oil, one way to cofirm this is to pull the coils from both banks and check for oil in the spark plug ports. This would be the most obvious. As for other possibilities of oil leaks, the cam seals in the front, oil cooler lines in the valley, to name a few.
As far as the oil light, it would be best to have a physical oil pressure test done, and if satisfactory change the sending unit.
