I have the truck listed above it's definitely seen better days. it drove fine for months (after I replaced the starter also the alternator) now when I got to start it (oh and the ignition) the lights all come on. but it won't crank. some one said it could be the the safety switch. I'm not sure.

Hello,

So when you turn the key what does it do?
Does it click? Or does it make no noise?

If you getting a click to the starter then you know the power to the starter but the starter is not turning.

If it is not doing anything it could be the clutch switch (as you have already replaced the ignition switch). If the switch is faulty then it will not allow power to go to the starter. This switch is located under the dash right side of the pedals (see diagram).

Another possibility is a bad starter relay. That relay is located under the hood (see diagram).

Please let me know what you are experiencing.
Thank you.

I took the starter out and had it tested. I did replace the starter relay. I forgot to mention that it does click when I turn the key so the clutch switch is what I'll try next. thank you for the help I appreciate it.
