I have the wiring all pulled from the firewall (into the interior of the car). I would like to remove all the wires I don't need. It's the last thing I need to do before I flash the ECU. Any help is very much welcomed and thank you in advance.

Hi,

I'm not sure what you need. Do you need help identifying wires, a schematic to replace them, or something different?

I attached the powertrain management schematics below along with the power distribution. I had to cut each page in two so you could read them, but I did overlap them

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. Also, please confirm the engine size. They only used a 2.2L.

Pics 1-6 are the powertrain management. The last four are the power distribution.

Need help identifying the wires so I don't remove any of the ones I need to start and run the car. The engine is 2.4L Quad (LD9).

Hi,

I found the schematics for the 2.4L. It was listed under "Z24". I attached the powertrain management schematics below.

As far as what to remove, that is a loaded question. LOL, If it was me, I wouldn't touch anything from the PCM even though it controls things such as cruise control. You don't need CC to start or drive the vehicle, but it could lead to crazy issues with the transmission.

The best I can suggest is this. Look through the schematic and the different things indicated for the PCM. Let me know if you have a specific question, and I'll let you know if it's possible.

Now you indicated wires. Things such as the horn, windshield washer pump, and wiper motor wiring, if you plan to race it, I don't see a need for such things, but again, I'm not sure of your plans.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

I see this are for an automatic trans. Is it the same for a manual? Atleast the color coding?

Hi,

They will be different but similar. The controls for the AT in the above are not needed. However, there will be a clutch safety switch for starting rather than a range sensor. But the wiring is the same color. See pic 1

Also, there will be a backup lamp switch on the manual. See pic 2.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
