I have the truck listed above. I'm looking to build the 302 but i don't want to spend a couple thousand on just a stroker kit. I'm just looking to get a little more horsepower. I'm 15 years old building this myself, thanks.

Hey thanks so much for watching the series!

So, for your situation it is very similar. You will re-use your crankshaft but will most likely need it machined to 0.010 under stock so you will need main and rod bearings that accommodate that. If your rods are in good shape, you can re-use those as well. You need new pistons that are 0.030 bigger than the stock bore and if you want more power, you can get slightly domed pistons, this will up your compression ratio, giving you more power.

I would certainly look into getting better heads though. The stock heads the 302 came with do not flow very well so they will hurt your power. Then all the rest of the parts we used should work for you, just make sure you get the right oil pan and pick up for your application.
