After my car over heated my engine has been running real ruff. It is slow at accelerating, and has a loud ticking sound coming from the front of the motor(under the power steering pump). I have already changed the idler pully and belt. And looked for broken vacumme hoses and nothing. There is white smoke coming out of the tail pipe also. Why would it do that?

The headgaskets failed allowing coolant into engine causing ruff run. Check oil if looks like chocolate malt headgaskets

The oil is good I just did the head gasket 6 months ago. It acts like its loosing compression or the timing is off or one of the pistons is not firing. Could the over heating of caused one of the coils in the ignition moduel to fail?Or mabey just a spark plug, or wire?

White smoke from exhaust indicates coolant entering cumbustion chamber so either headgaskets or intake gasket. Check compression if timing off should show up as low also will tell if headgasket failed. The camshaft sensor is under P/S pump
